As part of a series of women's empowerment and mangrove ecosystem restoration programs organized by the Care Peduli Foundation and Ecology Foundation Riau Islands through funding from Traveloka, Berakit Village officially formed a Beneficiary Group (KPM). The formation process began with identifying existing community groups and the initiatives they had undertaken. Through focus group discussions (FGDs), the community of Berakit Village was informed about the program and the objectives of forming the group.

The groups formed include the Srikandi Community Monitoring Group (POKMASWAS), the Tenggiri Women's Economic Group (KUEP), the Melati Women's Economic Group (KUEP), and the Panglong Community Economic Group. The formation of these groups aims to enhance the role of women in mangrove conservation and develop environmentally-based economic activities.

These Beneficiary Groups will serve as a platform for village women to participate in training on natural resource management, mangrove propagation, and the development of mangrove-based businesses. With support from various parties, it is hoped that these groups will strengthen the community's capacity to preserve mangrove ecosystems while improving their economic well-being. With the formation of the Beneficiary Group, the women's empowerment and mangrove ecosystem restoration program in Berakit Village is expected to run more effectively and provide sustainable positive impacts for the community and the environment.

The formation of this group has received support from various parties, including the local government and environmental agencies. Through this program, women in Berakit Village have the opportunity to acquire new skills, such as mangrove cultivation techniques, processing of mangrove forest products, and marketing of mangrove-based products. Additionally, this group will serve as a platform for the community to share experiences and develop innovations for the sustainable utilization of mangroves.

With the establishment of the Beneficiary Group, it is hoped that the women's empowerment and mangrove ecosystem restoration program can be implemented more effectively and provide long-term impacts on the well-being of the community and the conservation of the environment in Berakit Village.
