Environmental conservation efforts continue to be promoted in Berakit Village, Bintan Regency, through a series of training programs on mangrove nursery, planting, and monitoring using geo-tagging technology. This program is a strategic step in safeguarding the coastal ecosystem, which is increasingly threatened by land conversion, natural resource exploitation, and the impacts of climate change. By involving various community groups, this activity aims to raise awareness and equip communities with technical skills for more effective and sustainable conservation efforts.

As part of a series of women's empowerment and mangrove ecosystem restoration programs organized by the Care Peduli Foundation and Ecology Foundation Riau Islands through funding from Traveloka, Berakit Village officially formed a Beneficiary Group (KPM). The formation process began with identifying existing community groups and the initiatives they had undertaken. Through focus group discussions (FGDs), the community of Berakit Village was informed about the program and the objectives of forming the group

Berakit Village, located in Bintan Regency, Riau Islands, has a mangrove ecosystem that is rich in potential and benefits for the local community.
